For Shanna Trumbly, nature has been a part of her work for as long as she can remember. When she was growing up, there wasn’t much money to buy art supplies, but the Eugene artist says her mother made sure there were plenty of sticks, feathers, dried flowers and the like to incorporate in her crafts. “Art has been an integral part of my being since I can remember,” she says. “Creating and making always seem to have been part of my journey.” The natural world remains a constant source of inspiration, she says.
